Body & Mind Grounding Practice

During the 30-minute grounding practice, we allow ourselves to be focused on ourselves. We begin the practice by attuning to our bodies.

Throughout our days, we may be involved in attending to our everyday tasks and not take the time to notice our bodies and what they are holding on to.

We incorporate tapping techniques to release stress while connecting with our breath and being present with our bodies. Through this simple practice, we connect with our body and notice where our body may be holding out to tension.

Gentle movements follow the practice. We are aware and intentional about how we move our bodies, all the while connecting and attuning to the sensations we experience. This step allows us to connect to our body and instills a sense of gratitude for what our body can do and feel, fostering well-being.

We conclude our practice with a guided meditation. This practice has many benefits, such as reducing rumination and stress, improving memory, focusing attention, cognitive flexibility, emotional regulation, and immune functioning.

These practices are beneficial, whether done alone or in a group. However, the group setting allows for connection, increasing a sense of belonging and social support, one of the most significant benefits of developing well-being.
